No offence taken muppetman11. I was sure that i read that HD WAS a requirement on all platforms. However, you may be right, I will find out and give you the appropriate link (if i can find it).

This is good news

Barney Francis, Managing Director of Sky Sports, said: "This is fantastic news for F1 fans and Sky Sports will be the only place to follow every race live and in HD. We will give F1 the full Sky Sports treatment with a commitment to each race never seen before on UK television. As well as unrivalled build up to each race on Sky Sports News, we will broadcast in-depth live coverage of every session. Sky customers with Sky Sports will also be able to enjoy F1 across multiple platforms and devices, including Sky Go."

I noticed that he says "Sky Sports will be the only place to follow every race live and in HD" and he did not say Sky Sports on Sky will be the only place to follow every race live and in HD. That means it must be on SS1 HD or SS2 HD on virgin media and virgin media will be offered SS3 HD because a few of the F1 races will be on SS3 HD because the English premier league and England test cricket will be on SS1HD and SS2 HD. Unless they move the cricket which i can't see happening

What Channel do you think f1 will be on
|
The channel I'm not willing to pay even more for, because F1 has NEVER been a premium broadcast, and the sky deal should never have taken place .
I'm not willing to pay pushing £200 per year extra, to watch 50% of the races. Been following F1 for 30 years +, and it makes me sick to see the way it is now going Bernie Ecclestone needs his ass kicking

But there is no way that they can fit all these sports onto SS1 and SS2 MM.

So enlighten us and point us to a link what says it has to be , Sky and VM will be in discussions already for these channels but F1 doesn't mean they have to be offered.

It's annoying muppett because I also read somewhere about a clause in F1 that it should be made available (to all) in HD. I can't find the link either and I have tried to find it...

I'm not sure you can read from that, that VM will be offered SS3,4 in HD!
