Discovery to axe ''Home & Health'' for some ''TLC''?

In Holland from July 2011 Discovery will axe Discovery Home & Health to make way for TLC to launch in Holland.

So when TLC cames to the UK I think they will do the same thing.

New channels on way???

I see that my ''Total Channels'' has gone up by FOUR in my area since 10.30am today.

I do not know anything more (at time of posting) but I think it maybe:

-Virgin Media only testing them out to see if they work fine.
-Or (and it the big or) CBS missing channels are set to launch soon - OR some other channels are coming.

I had this information confirmed to me yesterday. I was also told by CS that now TiVo is up and running the main priority is increasing the channels. target for VM is 50 HD channels by the end of the year.

I was told that more HD content will be added soon when I rang up to discuss options regarding the increase in the telephone line rental. However, the agent was not either willing or able to say whether this new HD content will new on-demand content or whether it will be new channels.

Digital Spy forums is reporting that Smash Hits TV on Virgin Channel 337 is rumour to be set to close soon.

Two Adult Channels to rebrand next month.

From Friday (July 1st) we will be saying goodbye to:
-UK Swingers will close on Virgin Media (Infomation can be seen on Virgin Channel 480 right now).
-Viewers Wives will close on Virgin Media (Infomation can be seen on Virgin Channel 481 right now).

-Red Hot Fetish will launch on Virgin Media (Infomation will be seen on Virgin Channel 480 from July 1st).
-Red Hot Mum will launch on Virgin Media (Infomation will be seen on Virgin Channel 481 from July 1st).

UPDATE:

No new channels are coming any time soon I have been told today that Virgin are doing some ''engineering'' work on the four channels that was added to my Total channels last Wednesday.

Let's hope most of this is accurate. If so it's very good news for sports fans like me. Been waiting a long time for Premier Sports (only channel in UK to show live Nascar) and EPSN America in HD will be great.

More HD channels to launch in July?

I was in the Virgin store today and picked up their July edition of the Buyer's Guide. I noticed on page 10 "More channels than you can shake your remote at" that the following HD channels are listed:

CNBC HD
ITV4 + 1 HD
MTV Hits HD

Also as someone pointed out earlier this week, Virgin are also suggesting here that they offer some interesting HD channels:

The Spectacular HD section includes Nat Geo Wild HD and SKY2 HD.

Does anyone know if any of these channels are coming soon or are Virgin being either careless or simply lying to us about the channels they provide?

Careless. They had the US FX HD logo up for nearly a year before changing it to the UK one.

EDIT: In fact on the slider they still have the US logo.
