Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month
no need to be snotty Ben ,i have just spent the last hour on the vm website and still failed to get a price when going through the existing customer option and choosing to upgrade BB only option all you get at the end is a booking form without the price increase (or decrease) ,the bundle calculator is for new customers only not existing ,it says that in the legal stuff at the bottom

Sorry, my frustration wasn't aimed specifically at you.
But as I have said soo many times now that All customers pay the same price for XXL the actual question of 'How much will pay' is easy.

*bashes head against the wall*
You will pay the price that is on the damned website - the one I've just given you and the SAME PRICE THAT EVERYONE ELSE ON XXL BB, XL TV and XL Phone pays
This will show on the bill as £45 (not that it really matters) - which is £8 more than the £37 BB XL shows on the bill as because that is the price before the discounts you also have on the bill to make it THE PRICE ON THE WEBSITE
Do you see a theme here by any chance? THE PRICE ON THE WEBSITE FOR XXL IS THE PRICE YOU PAY

Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month
Why then have I just been quoted £18 per month extra to upgrade to XXL broadband from XL broadband (I currently have the VIP Package)?
I understand that the prices without discounts are £37 and £45 respectively, so why was there an increase of more than £8 to upgrade.

Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month
Is nobody else fed up with VM offering "new customers" all the good deals, while they hump us existing customers sideways??
I phoned up to enquire about the reduction in price for XXL. I'm currently on XL broadband (£37pm). Customer Services said it will cost another £8.50pm (why don't they just say it'll cost £45.50pm in total?) and a £50 one-off installation fee, down from £80. Wow (!).
Totally unimpressed. Price reduction, my arse.

Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month
I know I'm pretty new to these forums, but almost all of my posts have been me badmouthing VM. And to be perfectly honest, they deserve it. If they weren't the easiest solution for me, I'd be with another company. I wish it was still Telewest that owned the network. They were the best.
The reason I am on these forums atm is because I just ran speed etst because my connection seems very slow. I am supposed to be on 20Mb and I find I'm only getting 4Mb down and 0.18Mb up.
Just disgraceful. This doesn't just happen now and again either. I never had these problems back when it was Telewest. And I can't even complain because every time I phone them up I get some clueless Indian person. (No offense to Indians)

Once again. Everyone pays the same price for XXL
What other services and discounts do you have?

I respectfully request that instead of getting irate with confused customers, you instead direct your bile towards Virgin Media for it's inability to design a clear, concise website that conveys it's service pricing structure.
The people who don't understand the garbled information on the VM website regarding it's pricing policy are NOT stupid and they are NOT trolls trying to get anyone's back up: they are loyal customers of the company who genuinely want to use the services, but simply cannot make head-nor-tail of the conflicting, opaque and poorly-written tariffs listed there.
To say "The price on the website is the price you pay" is utterly disingenuous when different parts of the website quote different prices for exactly the same combination of products.
Now be nice, please.

Actually what I was frustrated over was the fact that a 'How much do I pay' question was asked, answered in full and then asked AGAIN.

And what I have been trying to repeately get across is that the price for XXL for everyone is the same that is on the bundle calcuator. (excluding any introductory offer depending on existing services). It is that simple.

I completely understand the frustration over the selfcare and upgrade website which is why I have again said REPEATELY not to use them and to only use the bundle calculator
I am, but if I have to repeat myself much more I will seriously consider just copy and pasting the same replies or stop answering at all

Re: 50MB Broadband now just £18 per month
Hi,
As am on the V.I.P package, it says 20MB for £38. So is it worth my while phoning and asking for 50MB for £28?
I also cant see VIP offered as a package deal any more ( http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html...e-builder.html). Does that mean am no longer on such a deal?
Thanks for reading.
