Hamilton crashes this morning in testing. Escaped unhurt, although hopefully it will have pricked that ego of his somewhat.

Formula 1 teams 'are in survival mode', says Whitmarsh.

The question is how long can things continue like this.

Re: Formula 1 2013 Pre-Season
Why couldn't that have left the tobacco sponsorship alone... the Marlboro McLaren. the JPS Lotus. the Benson & Hedges Jordan, the Lucky Strikes (whatever). So they were all brands of cigarettes, but did that really make anyone more likely to smoke.
In the glory days of "the flying fag packets", money really wasn't an issue.
Since scientolgy are now advertising on prime time TV, maybe one of the teams could offer them a spot.

You are quite right IMHO.
I enjoy watching Redbull sporting events. And Marlboro too.
I don't go and get tanked up on either livery.
I think there's an age and maturity issue with the promotion. I'm way too old to be swayed by a logo.
Did Damon Hill thrill me because of his sponsor? Did did his team and his ability thrill me?
The latter applies.

Yeah I heard that this morning. I'd rather see Rubens or Robert back though.

Re: Formula 1 2013 Pre-Season
Not sure Kubica will make it back, he was having problems still last year and nerve damage is the slowest thing in the human body to recover.
As for Rubens he's done all he can.. he's now enjoying retirement and I don;t think will be seen as race win hungry anymore
