Could do with a day or two of rain though as the grass is starting to go very brown but doesn't seem like that's going to happen for at least a week.

I am guessing that 1976 was a vintage year for Love Monkey births.

Re: Weather
It was 28c in my office at 7:30 this morning.
Our building as 1 ft thick walls so absorb any heat and radiates it into the building.

Re: Weather
Our area is a heat island. Apparently due to the surrounding red bricks that catch and release heat. So when the forecasts say 30c we easily get 35c+.
And we have been. And it was OK until today when humidity spiked for some reason.

1976, I remember all the UK newspapers gong on "Phew! What a scorcher!" whilst I was serving with the RAF in Cyprus where it was consistently 10c hotter. And often more.

Re: Weather
Just did 10K interval on the treadmill at the gym and had a quick swim. Probably sweated less than I would have in the garden. It’s still 26 out here.

Re: Weather
Phew! What a scorcher: We've just hit 29C in the shade on the North side of the house. Hoping for a sea breeze to kick in.

I think this weather is wonderful and hope it stays this way as it makes a change for the kids having their school summer holidays in the sunshine
