So how do you explain the Torro Rosso team that's owned by Red bull (yes I know that Torro Rosso is Spanish for Red Bull but the team name is different than the company name)
No matter what the team is called the owners can have a different name, for the constructors championship the team name is taken.

Hmm, I seem to remember that there was some controversy over this at the time. Perhaps it was settled in the usual way.

as long as it's the same team the name of the holding company and the team name doesn't really matter.
Ferrari are Ferrari Spa ( i think) but the team is Scuderia Ferrari, McLaren is McLaren Cars, which is owned by The McLaren Group but the team is Vodaphone McLaren Mercedes

With the Button McLaren move now finalised, it seems Raikkonen could after all stay in F1 and pop up at Brawn.

Although Raikkonen said recently that it was McLaren or nothing for him in F1 next year, Button's shock exit from the former Brawn GP team may have changed the situation.

Hence the confusion in my post ?
Do Mercedes need a top driver ? Are Rosberg & Heidfeld really Top Gun material ?
Some press reports have stated that being in a winning car is more important than the money for Kimi !!!
So Lewis & Jenson believe McLaren have a winning car yet Raikkonen would prefer Brawn (Mercedes)
Other press releases, including one from Nick Fry at Brawn state that the media speculation regarding their offer to Jenson was no where near the true package on offer so maybe they have enough cash for Kimi ?

Yes Mercedes do need a "top" driver. The Roseburg, hasn;t exactly shown what hes made of yet.
Tough choice for Raikkonen, maybe he just needs a break after been stabbed in the back by Ferrari? who knows.. either way, I want to see him in F1 and Mercedes should pull their finger out, if they want a return on their investment. Otherwise, Merc, I think will be at "the back of the pack"

Kimi has already been paid 20m before he's even raced this year based on Ferrari buying out his contract. If he had the desire he could have raced for free at McLaren. They said McLaren couldn't afford him so i think that says it all

Indeed I think Mercedes are waisting their time with the current "lineup" they, seems to have thrown millions at it already, so it doesn't seem to make sense, whey they are cheaping out on drivers. Of course, they could always bring Schumi back LOL
From what I see they want German drivers, I understand that decision but at the same time, Roseburg is just pants and or not been given a decent car to compete.

Frank Williams and Patrick Head have sold a minority in the team "between 10% and 49%" to an investment firm headed by Toto Wolff.

Of course, I believe it's now between 10.1% and 48.9%

That's better, it's a little clearer now.
