			Sadly I have used two contraptions like that when I was a teenager and my mother put me in charge of doing the laundry as she had to go out work after my father died. 
The novelty of a combined washer/spin dryer later was astounding.Now people think nothing of them..

			Yep I suppose there are things to be grateful for.It only takes a broken down washer for us to realise how much we rely on present day appliances to keep our lives at a much easier level. 
Some can complain their mobile phone or PC or TV isn't working but when the washer packs up it's a whole new higher level of pain..
