As an aside, the full report does have something that I'm sure will interest some here:

Well, we'll see. The question really is, how much of a decline in audience share can the TV companies bear before advertising revenues reach critical levels?
Looking at how close ITV came to a financial crisis just a few short years ago with the reduction in advertising, I don't think it would take a lot before some of the smaller TV companies called it a day. Sadly, it won't stop there.

As the majority of sports rights are held by Sky and BT it would take a huge loss in audience share for either of these to go bust.
The smaller broadcasters (Prem Spts, Freesports) have little content so if they went bust they would not be missed by many.

The so called predicted future demise of Sky has been grossly exaggerated by some on here as they are here to stay long into the future..

I certainly wouldn't expect Sky and BT to go bust!
Of course, the bigger channels that cease to broadcast as now will move to streaming/on demand services only rather than go bust.

Nor will they in future as the influence of the streaming giants with regards to sports TV auction rights has been greatly overplayed.

A different wording was used but it still carries the same meaning MM.
