Not sure what your point is, di I think VM are looking into IPTV for the areas that aren't cabled; so at least they'll be able to bring Tivo into those areas too

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Quick question the inner of the two green indicator lights on the front of the TiVo, was permanently flashing on/off this morning, could anybody tell me what that means?
Thanks
Mark

I think that one of them is the online light so you would not have access to OD.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Hi fellow members, following my comment re problems on my TiVo box and the engineer problems.
We called the engineers again and left a message, no call back we have now lost total faith in VM, we called them Monday and were told the engineer would call us back Monday night, no call, we called today and was told the engineer wasn't answering his phone. That's FIVE days with a fault, and l am getting fed up with and yet all these promises by VM.
We called the 0845 number, what a lot of tosh, l will give VM till fix my box properly until Thursday, then its back to Sky.
I was with Sky for ten years, we had minor faults, that they were quickly repaired, We have had more engineers call outs with VM than l can count, totally unacceptable.

I've always received a quick response when I have had any problems and I have never had any complaints about VM or their predecessors. Sorry to hear that you are having these problems - you are being polite when you call, aren't you, Arthur? (Just checking )

Sorry you're having such problems, Arthur, and it is indeed un-acceptable. However, just to balance things out a bit, I think I may have had one engineer call-out since joining NTL in 2007.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
I know it does not help people who are having problems, but I have to say that although I am not as enthusiastic as many about the wonders of Tivo, I do find it very reliable after a year or so of use. In the early days there were several annoying reboots and not always a good picture, but these for me are now a thing of the past. No reboots. Excellent picture (by HDMI) to such an extent that I question the need for HD channels on my 37 inch Panasonic.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3
Never had problems with the TiVo as a piece of kit. Always found engineers most helpful.
I sorry to hear you are having problems. Really its not good enough service.
