Re: Sky Anytime

You know how people recently received pop-up messages suggesting Boardwalk Empire season 1 was available via on demand, just how did an error of that size happen? I never witnessed the pop-up myself but my wife did and mentioned it to me.

I'm sure this has already been addressed somewhere on this site, but I can't find what the outcome was. How can Virgin make an error advertising content they simply don't have? Or is it actually coming soon and someone let slip?

Re: Sky Anytime

Yeah, the discovery bar should be renamed the Inaccurate Slowness bar because it's pretty useless. It keeps putting shows up that I've already given to. "We love it, we hope you will too!" Well if you'd bothered to collate my thumbs metadata, you'd know that I don't you damn fools.

You can change the settings to show more/less type of suggestions in the Discovery Bar in the Settings menu.

Re: Sky Anytime

My son had no picture with his Sky Dish with the storms last week. When they came to fix it he knew it was going to cost him £55 and when he said his dish was on the roof it was another £55. This is robbery. He is going with Virgin soon.

The main reason I left Sky was the fact that I had to pay them to repair (by which I mean swap out with a refurbished box, losing all of my recordings in the process) the poor equipment they supplied in order to continue to use their service.

I threatened to leave three times whilst I was a Sky customer and got free call outs. On the fourth occasion I threatened to leave and they told me I was free to go!!!

It cost me about £20 to replace the cheap components which made up the inside of the box and that's about what I got back when I sold it. Not entirely sure where the benefits of owning your stb are supposed to lie!

Will never go back.

Re: Sky Anytime

I am actually with Freesat and my dish moved with the storm last week. They come on Monday to fix it for free, but after my yearis up I will have to pay. I will go back to virgin as it is still installed in a bedroom. It is also the inconvenience waitng for them to come,

What took him so long? Now he can have Sky Anytime + instantly with a click of the remote, the best on demand services available, and if he gets the TIVO box......!*@!
