And the word is it will cost more as rumours abound that we are talking about potentially a extra tenner MM.

Four live Event channels that ‘pop up’ to prevent schedule clashes and enabling fans to access several simultaneous matches at one time will also be utilised. Fans will also have access to LaLigaTV on Eleven Sports – the 24/7 in-house channel which features documentaries, magazine shows and other exclusive La Liga content.
The new services will be available on Eleven’s soon-to-be-launched online streaming platform, ensuring it is easily accessible without the need for set top boxes, bundled packages or contracts. Pricing will be announced soon.

Unless this streaming platform is as cheap as chips, I cannot see it being able to maintain a following in any great numbers.
BT struggle to get a big audience for EPL, so I doubt niche leagues will garner anything like enough to make it pay.

Agreed.
I have just read an online article stating eleven sports are negotiating a deal to have a channel on sky at no extra cost to the consumer.
If this is correct, I presume they will become a bit like Eurosport, but I do not understand the logic - how are ES going to recover any money that they have paid out for the rights? Who will subscribe to their streaming service when they can watch for free on sky?
Also, will this channel be available via VM?

When you become part of a Sky subscription package for instance Sky Entertainment you generally receive money for it which is guaranteed income just like Virgin does for its top package that includes BT Sport.
Early on I can't see anyway were Eleven Sports goes down the standalone subscription model only in my opinion it simply wouldn't get enough people.

Exactly, my thoughts entirely - think you need deep pockets to be able to run at a loss (presumably 1st year payments of rights are expected up front?) while you attempt to build up a customer base.
This applies to all streaming providers imo

Wonder if Sky would do this as an exclusive deal?
I would rather have BT Sports included in the Full House package than ES!

Re: ESPN, BT, Euro, Premier and Sky Sports news
just took a call from an outbound vm sales team offering me sky sports for £15.87 a month or sports and movies for £19.63 a month
this price would be for 6 months and then revert to full price which is apparently almost 40 quid a month!
am tempted to be honest, told them I'd think about it

Does not include HD which is an extra £8 a month. Still not a bad deal though.
