They could just output the London BBC1 HD output to all regions during the local news, but no doubt this would also get complaints.

This is something both the BBC and ITV need to address next year. I`m not technically minded but surely adding local hd variants to BBC and ITV isn`t that difficult? The only thing that I can see that`s holding them back is money. Anyway I`d like to take this opportunity to wish everyone A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!

 | Cost is in the way upgrading the regional news centres, networks and serial new hd frequencies, across cable, satellite and freeview. Want an increase in license fee, to pay for it!

Non hd content is shown on hd channels all the time.

But you don't object to paying more for your soap powder etc. to fund the advertising on ITV? It's still a 'Tax'; just not collected in such an obvious way.

The BBC is run by fools that have no idea how to spend money wisely.
