But the media don't reveal their sources if the information is given in confidence.
As far as the other matters here are concerned, there was a later piece, I think I read it in the Daily or Sunday Telegraph, which was more positive. It was this article that led to my optimistic posts. The fact that Sky wanted VM to carry Sky Bravo and were even holding up its launch until the negotiations were over I saw as one positive sign.
In fact, it was a whole raft of information that, when put together, appeared to suggest an autumn launch, but with the possibility of drift due to Sky Bravo and Now TV. As I have said before, time will tell if this all comes about.

Based on what evidence, Dave? At least I've quoted media sources, which are a lot more reliable than personal opinions and rumours.
This is just your personal opinion. I respect that, but I am a little surprised that you are quite so adamant, particularly as you have repeatedly said 'but I hope I'm wrong, I really do'.

based on the fact of sky's actions OB sky do nothing cheap just look at the rip off price for sky sports on now tv ect the evidence is for all to see OB and sky have never lowered prices

I agree. It could get costly however if you get drawn into a show.

It would if you watched them back to back, but if you watch one episode a week of Boardwalk Empire, that's about £7.56 per month. I could make savings from my current VM package to pay for that.

This is the problem, and why you have been challenged so much; you were posting 'positive signs' and 'appeared to suggest' as if they were certainties and you said that Atlantic was definitely coming when you had nothing to substantiate that.
No one minds if you post an opinion that is based on 'positive signs'; it's asserting that it is more than that, that causes people to challenge you.

But you can't prophesy the future simply by looking at the past, Dave. Things may stay the same for a long period, and suddenly there's a step change. The tectonic plates are moving and it's only a matter of time before the big change comes. You have not quoted any actual evidence for what you think may happen, only what's happened in the past.
This old world doesn't stay the same for long, and as time goes on, things seem to change more rapidly. The more ways there are to view the programmes on Sky Atlantic, the less likely it is that continuing to deny Virgin Media access makes any sense. They may as well make money out of it. That is what really motivates Sky.

I remain pretty damn sure that it's coming, just as Dave is convinced that it's not! I think people are making too much of this issue. This is a speculative thread, after all. Nothing's that positive until it's confirmed, and it's confirmed when it arrives.

Media Boy - How dare you post what is coming to Virgin TV in a forum called "Coming soon to Virgin TV" where everyone is dead set on arguing with each other?
What on earth do you think you are doing?

Looks like Style stops broadcasting from December 9th as on EPG guide it says programmes no longer available.
Also says same on Sky EPG.

Well this will suggest if E!+1 launches then we will get it! You never know it could move on the EPG signifying new carriage deal possibly bringing Universal HD!

Based on your description of "actual evidence" all he or anyone else needs is a media report in which someone suggests in a positive manner that Sky and VM are not in talks about Sky Atlantic.
I am not suggesting he or anyone else finds one, there are probably many reports out there. If he or anyone could be bothered to do that, he or anyone else would be using a speculative report with no basis in fact, not "actual evidence."

I think Virgin need an new deal with NBC Universal to carry E! +1 (Also E! HD and Universal HD)
Style has only been on Virgin Media since March 6th 2013.
