Its got to do with your statement of saying the 100 and 120 are so cheap that they are not fit for the job.

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
Is it just me or has the NTL network gone to pot in certain areas since they started the roll out? I'm in HG1 and it is very erratic at the moment

I made no warranty or otherwise of their fitness for any purpose, I just said that they were built as cheaply as possible and that the Terayon and CMX are of a higher quality, as you'd expect considering the Terayon retailed at £170.
Your need to points score with me is getting a bit weird, you seem to feel the need to comment or try and correct me at every possible occasion, which is a bit freaky. If you really want to prove your leetness with cable get a job with a cable company or contractor and get paid for it.
Finding holes in what a relative beginner like me says about the stuff doesn't really impress.

I guess as long as your area has been updated then it would work. It's worth a try.

Yes - but what about my settop box question - or am I the only person here using one?

is your question 'will us set top box users have the speed increase too?'
I would like to know the answer to this too, if thats not what you asked can anyone answer the question anyway?

Yes - that was it - and will we have to re-boot and what will happen to the PACE box users that couldn't even be up-graded to 2mb?

Re: New Speeds - June 1st
Pace STB users still on the 1Mb but paying £24.99, should of been sent a letter some time ago inviting them to arrange a STB swap out so they can surf at 2Mb.
Re: 2Mb STB users waiting to go to 4Mb, no information has been officially confirmed to us on this. But if it helps I will contact ntl tomorrow and seek some form of clarification on this matter. I will get back to you on this as and when I get a response back.
