I dont really scroll through TV mags, but there is a website that I use to find out what's upcoming throughout the year. I find it useful when looking for a new series to watch or when one is due to return. It might not be for everyone, but I think it's worth a look. I have posted the link.

Thanks for that link, really helpful especially as I now know I've missed the first episode of a new show I've been waiting for, Chicago PD.
I set a wishlist for it ages ago but put it as HD only, no way did I expect 5USA to pick it up seeing as Chicago Fire was so popular on Living. Hopefully it will be on 5OD and I can watch it tonight.
Thanks again

No probs mate, glad you found it useful.
I usually scroll through it a couple of times a month and set my Tivo to the programmes I think I will like. I think it's updated farily regularly too.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2014) Vol. 3
could this channel become the most unwanted channel to arrive? (channel 5+24 must be pushing for a podium)
Does that also mean we actually then "regain" ITV2?

These channels, like with my HD Greediness, VM may think in a financial sense they are not worth going after.
I'm just guessing because, of course, I know nothing of TV channels and costs lol
Like you say, we are being picky...but we are allowed arent we? We are British after all.
|
Haha yeah it's good to be greedy as we keep VM on their toes. Why are all these channels on sky? Do channels have to buy places on sky but for cable VM have to buy channels to be on VM?
Must be a difference as sky have tons more channels than VM?

I'm not sure how it works, Vince.
But I did notice that Sky have a lot more HD variants for channels that may not have a big audience, like the Food Network for example, that are nowhere to be seen on VM. Not sure the reasons behind it though....has to be money??

The main reasons are that it works out cheaper per viewer to broadcast on satellite and that Sky cannot stop anyone who meets the required conditions from being added to their EPG, whereas VM can.
