Firstly, I thought that we had agreed on here a long time ago that saying a channel, its content or its viewer base were 'crap' was imposing one's own extreme opinion on others and belittling theirs. Sky Arts is there to fill a viewer requirement but you don't have to watch it. Of course, if you meant that the picture or sound quality on Sky Arts is sub-standard rather than the content, then you should have made that clear.
Secondly, I rather enjoyed Sky Arts - Suggs' Italian Job where, in six episodes, he travelled around Italy in a mini showing us a bit of culture and a bit of fun in his own inimitable way. He went to a factory where they made musical instruments from alabaster and then played “One step beyond” with an alabaster band! I think it's the only thing I've watched on Sky Arts so far.
We could all do with a bit of culture in our diet. I'm not a big classical music fan (and even less so of fine art) but the New Year concert from Vienna can be good for a laugh if you get a fun conductor. And, you never know, you might even discover a latent love of Liszt!

It's my main 'goto' Sky channel .. and I practically never watch the sports channels. I guess that means we're not all the same - shock horror!

Vintage tv is doing better than expected and is negotiating with virgin media about carrying their channel.

Yeah, him and Phyllis Stein, they're so uncultured. Ignant, even!
