What details do you have to give NTL when you phone? I don't have much of an idea what my username/password is etc.

they should be able to locate you via your post code - also check your direct debit that has an account number on it.

Spoken to Technical Support, They have been told that under no cicumstances are they to manually upgrade anyone, tho he admits that customer services are doing so, "depending on who you speak to"

So I'll try CS again

How do I avoid the Indian connection?

Don't count on it. I've been manually upgraded four times today by CS with no speed change whatsoever.

No you don't, you can have a SACM (Stand Alone Cable Modem) for your BB on it's own.

to the site.

Upgraded earlier this morning via the website (http://www.ntlworld.com/data-feeds/e...tierMigration/)

One manual reboot later and I was pumping along at 2mb.

London - E11 (Bromley)

Just a shame they can't get the caller i.d. working

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)

I keep getting this-Unable to Identify Cable Modem
Unable to identify the cable modem MAC (or Ethernet) address. Please reboot your PC and Cable Modem and try again. If you need further help, please contact our customer support (0800 052 2000).

I have spoken to someone in India I think ? Who did not have a clue, so if they cannot identify my cable modem or MAC address will I not be upgraded !

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)

3GB a month is kind of harsh on such a fast connection, atm i am clocking in at around 40 - 60GB a day and the thought of coming home and being limited to that cap is a joke.

Its a good job i live in an area which is supported by other isps.
