And considering that everyone else is still sat at the 15.99 price point I would imagine they’re as good as sacrificing any margins on them as a result - unless the other platforms drop to 9.99 in the next few days, I would be surprised if Virgin are getting a sweetheart deal from Universal.

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services
I’m loving Disney+ content but the app’s variable bandwidth management sucks. Netflix, delivers us 1080hd on anything over about 1.75mbps and on our 4K Samsung smart telly (running the app) it looks crystal clear. On Disney, it only gives us that crystal clear look when we have max bandwidth available. I can’t say exactly how much because it doesn’t seem to give you a readout like Netflix does but it is only ever crystal clear late in the evening when the kids aren’t hammering our Wi-fi so it has got to be wanting nearer 3mbps before you get a really good picture. And unlike Netflix the next step down from crystal clear is noticeably mushy, to the point of almost certainly sub-HD.

Re: Netflix/Streaming Services
If anyone has another spare £5 a month to spend on telly, AMC's new on-demand service is coming to the UK at the end of the month. No pay-TV providers are mentioned in the device list.

The premium platform already has one million paid subscribers in the United States where it is known as the “ultimate destination for high-quality, world class dramas, mysteries and comedies”.

I'm not a betting man Den but I will watch it out of curiosity. It'll be one of those oddities everyone will remember watching.
