Were you given a 20mb trial at some point? There was a fault where downgrades were not processed even though the trial had been cancelled and system reported wrong speed. (This happened to me)

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
Would checking what is showing up on chrispy2000's modem operation configuration throw any light on what is happening with his BB speed?

If he posted it and if he is getting that speed then it is a Virgin error.

Nothing to do with me I only fix faults, if he is getting 20Mb then that is down to Customer Services.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
I've been upgraded from 2-10MB for about a week and my speeds have been very erratic.
I posted a thread about poor speeds between 9mp and 12, but now it seems my connection jumps between the full 10MB and only 1MB frequently throughout the day. Very rarely is it somewhere in between.
I haven't been going over the traffic management limits and i've tried plugging straight into the modem.
Is anyone else experiencing similar?

You can just remove the attachment yourself by going to User CP> Miscellaneous >Attachments and just delete the attachment.

Re: Upgrade from 2 - 10 meg
I have checked at Myvirginmedia and my speed says 10mb M so I know the upgrade has gone through. I rebooted the modem as I was told, basically unplugging it for a couple of minutes. The system is faster now but only to about 4mb never been more than 5mb. I do have wireless internet and I know this can cut the speed but should it be to this extent. The increase in speed although supposedly doubled even to 4mb is hardly noticeable. Is there anything else that can be done or is it just the wireless thats causing it.
