What you mean OB the purveyor of everything UHD is not interested in this wonderful channel when he has been at his wits end waiting for a UHD channel..

You have a unique ability to twist everything to your own taste, don't you, Den?
UHD yes. Rubbish, no, and I have often complained about the quality of content on pay tv, have I not?

There is a limited amount, hidden in the midst of all the junk.

No sign of the new ITV Encore on demand yet. I now think we may not get this until talks between VM and ITV on payment for the main ITV channel is sorted. I expect that ITV Encore will be part of the deal.
Hope they don't pay over the odds for it, though. Not unless they are going to add new content to it. We already have ITV Collections, after all.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2018)
It's worth noting that there is no ITV Encore content on Sky On Demand either as far as I can tell. But maybe there is but it's just listed at ITV/ITV HD

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2018)
Discovery are working on creating Quest HD, no info as to whether VM will carry this yet.
Perhaps it will be added when the carriage agreement comes up for renewal. Anyone know when this is?

MB will know, but hopefully, they won't wait until the current arrangements are up, given the football on that channel.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2018)
True, maybe it will come sooner rather than later as don't Liberty Global have a stake (or fully own) the Discovery channels??
---------- Post added at 20:29 ---------- Previous post was at 19:20 ----------
Just been told that Quest HD already exists and has been free to air for ages on Arabsat's Badr 4 satellite @ 26e, so it shouldn't take long to bring it to the UK.

From what I can make out, the same programming is on the Arabyan version, but it is, of course, spoken in Arabic.
However, they do also get an English language version, so as you say, it would not be too difficult to bring Quest HD to these shores.

As of August 2017 Malone did own about 30% of Discovery shares and holds the most voting shares.
https://mediaboyblog.blogspot.co.uk/...wamp.html#more
But note that was before Discovery acquisition of Scripps (Food Network and Travel Channel plus 50% of UKTV [Gold and Drama and so on].
But John Malone did buy more Discovery Inc stock in December.

Do this help you???
