I'm presuming that the TiVo UI loaded first, and it was a pop-up prompt?

And that if you ignored the prompt, the UI still remained active?

I'm trying to rule out here, that if the box reboots unattended (mains power loss or whatever), that subsequent recordings won't fail because of some required user-input.
