I agree however that's only half of the story your forgetting about HD charges ,
Sky Movies on Sky £16 , HD charge £5.25 total £21.25
Sky Movies on VM £19.50 , HD charge £7 total £26.50
Thats a lot more expensive than Now TV , the movies on Now TV are available in HD on certain devices however currently only at 720p clearly this needs improving further as Netflix PQ is superb. I believe there looking into 5.1 sound and adding Sky Store PPV rentals.

At least on Sky Movies via Sky satellite, you get 5.1 on the SD version. Although you did at one time on Telewest, you have to pay for the HD version to get 5.1 now on VM.
If they add 5.1 and 1080p HD, then £8.99 would be very reasonable for films on Now TV considering that you get recent films. Personally though, I'd still prefer to spend my nine quid on a Netflix/Unblockus combination.

Cheapest way to get Sky Movies HD
VM TV M+ and Sky Movies HD = £40.50
Sky EE+ and Sky Movies HD = £53.25
VM offer it the cheapest.

On my Kindle, I can obviously stream Lovefilm (and I assume Netflix), but to have Lovefilm on my wife's Kindle, I have to have her device on my Amazon account, so that she can also stream Lovefilm using my account. Clearly not an ideal solution as it's my credit card she will be using for shopping on Amazon !
Does anyone who has Netflix confirm that you can stream it to any multiple device ?
I'm thinking primarily here for when Netflix hits out Tivo, and wondering if the same account will enable me to stream to two different Kindles and three Laptops (but not at the same time obviously !)

Well I log into Netflix with four different devices using the same log in information: a HTPC, Laptop and two different WD TV Live streaming Media Players.
Netflix allows two different shows to be streamed at the same time. There has been talk of allowing four different streams for an extra charge.

You already can , login to your account online at the side were your plan is listed there's an option of 'change plan' when clicked you have two options two devices for £5.99 or four devices for £8.99.

But why would they not go down that route, and how do you reconcile your view with the fact that they have already said that they intend to compete with Sky for the movie contracts? Yes, the existing arrangement works well for them, but adding premium arrangements to the mix, but only if you want it, sounds even better.

Thanks for that - Until Netflix launches, I'll just let her use my Kindle. Lovefilm / Amazon have confirmed they have no plans to change the way they allow access, so I will probably drop them and go with Netflix (if I can ever find out what is on it without signing up - there seems to be no way of browsing ..."
