Well I've posted up on the Virgin forums hoping they can help sort what it is, they still haven't replied to my original post from 5 days ago though so I'm stuck really.

If they do reply they'll probably come back with the heavy traffic on local UBR causing it excuse that they seem fond of giving others.

works fine for me 1500 is the mtu nothing to do with packet size as such, and if it always fails why did ubr reply?
