So ntl are "rolling out" VOD for Glasgow in an official capacity?
Is it on their website for Glasgow customers to peruse?
Or is it still in trial phase?

It's alright having faith, but how do customers in Glasgow know that VOD has arrived? Or, for that matter, what VOD is and how much it costs.

Well if they press On Demand they get a new menu giving them prices etc. and how it works.
Assuming it doesn't all collapse in a heap they will get information about the new service through the door. (probably)

Because ntl, being the complete communications company, will have proactively contacted all the customers concerned & informed them of the benefits of the service that they would soon be offering via VOD, that's how.
Yeah right!!

I think they are afraid to raise hopes, and want to keep things low key until they can prove it works!

People can't moan about something if they don't know they've got it & that it doesn't work anyway!!

Hmmm-interesting comment coming frm the person who said about the Telewest PVR service....

I have never made claims to know what ntl's VOD is like (unlike you & TW's "brilliant" PVR service)

Re: [Merged] VOD
To be fair Neil I think you should be supportive of ntl, as it is moving the company forward and hopefully giving the customer some decent services!!

Re: [Merged] VOD
I would have to agree with GrahamF.
We know there is no love lost between yourself and Ntl and there are certainly upgrades that have gone wrong in the past but to write it off without even seeing it is a bit off IMO.

I absolutely am supportive of it, & I think it's a genuinely good thing they are doing, however-it would appear that after all the 'hoo ha' that is VOD, it may well take a back set now due to the redundancy announcement......

I think you've gotten the wrong end of the stick somewhere m8.....
I haven't written it off at all, as I said above I think it's a good thing, & trialling it in one area (as opposed to thw whole country) is also a wise move IMO.
Not sure why you think I'm writing it off.....
