I think in your twisted little ways you enjoyed having to wait to get your issue fixed, because it was so better to have something to constantly bitch about. If I have had that issue as you have described it, so many times now, unlike yourself, I would of made damn sure to get it resolved PDQ.
Oh and by the way - I don't want to see you use offensive remarks such as 'window licker' on this forum again please.

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)
Having seen a few posts on here from people who have persuded CS to upgrade their STB speeds, it seems some have to re-register, others don't. Does anyone know whether those of us who are patient enough to wait for the 'automatic' upgrade will need to re-register? I don't want to have to spend time turning the house upside down to find my original PIN/password unless I have to. (Already on a Samsung and in Manchester area, if it makes a difference).

But to be honest i would rather find out how long it actually takes NTL to auto upgrade these packages.

And give you something to bitch about while you wait

People who have SACMs do not have to reprovision because pc's are not provisioned in the same way as they are with STBs.
As far as i know though, all customers using STBs will have to reprovision after a manual upgrade. Not sure if this will be the case after the automatic upgrades though....

Customer services should have your pid/password since I was given mine again when I got my samsung box. Also I think this upgrade is being done via the billing system moving people to new tiers and not just changing the rates on the config files so you'll probably need it.

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)
I look forward to phoning CS in the morning to enquire about upgrades to speed in my area. I know very little about them at the minute, only what I've read this afternoon on here.
.....and thanx to all the people on here moaning and bitching about it. Made a great read.
Here's hoping to having a 3MB line tomorrow.
Cheers
Jamgood

Hrm
Does anyone know when the upgrades will be taking place in Worthing?
I got my mother to call up because it's her account and she was told it wouldn't be for another month?
Bleh, kinda sux
I was hoping to at least get a new STB to replace this pace thing.

What tier are you on? If you are upgrading to the 3Mb service then it's taking a month as they will need to replace the Pace STB with a nice shiny Samsung for it to work at the proper speed

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)
Nah, we're currently on the 750k service, so it'd be the 2mb one.

You need the STB upgrade then as if I recall the Pace STBs can only handle up to 1Mb. That's why your mum got told she will have to wait till April as that's when they are swapping the boxes out

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)
Still need to replace. Anything over 1MB and NTL will give you a nice new Samsung. A bit of grovelling to CS might give you a temporary 1MB until they get round to the replacement though.

Re: *ALL* Speed Upgrade Discussion In Here Please (Part 4)
"The uploads are all being increased.
The 750k down / 128k up service is now 2mb down / 200k up
The 1.5mb down / 256k up service is now 3mb down / 300k up."
So why am i still uploading at the same speed as before?? I'm on 2mb, but the tests i've run all show same upload??
