When we actually have a manager, we will start to do something. I'm thinking of applying on the basis of my champ man record next month when the job will no doubt be available

Re: The Football Thread 2005/2006 Season
What? No @rsenal fans to offer excuses for their defeat to Middlesborough today?
What a surprise.....
Still, let's hope they get back to their winning ways soon or we won't have any of the North London contingent on CF

Keano facing six-week lay-off?
Roy Keane could miss up to six weeks with a hamstring injury, according to reports.
In the last two years United have dropped 31 points in the 23 games Keane has not started, leaving United with a major headache as they try to keep pace with Chelsea.
But the good news ahead of the Villarreal match is that Cristiano Ronaldo has made a quicker-than-expected return from compassionate leave.

Keane is starting to creak and crumble, he is a wonderful captain, but it must be time to seek a replacement methinks.

Indeed, but as that quote shows when he doesn't play United are a worse team.
Unfortunetly Keane will never be replaced. One of the greatest midfielders ever to play the game.
Hopefully Fergie can persuade Ballack to sign. It will be interesting tonight to see how Smudger gets on in midfield, there were a couple of promising signs from him on Saturday.

I am not sure how tonight is going to go for utd away to Villarreal, I only saw Villarreal play for about 10 minutes against Everton and they looked good, so I am going to sit on the fence and predict a 1 - 1 draw

One of these pictures is of Wayne Rooney. 10 points if you can choose the correct one.
