You can PIN protect the app, however for some reason Netflix themselves don't have any full content lockout system. They said they haven't done it, as there are always ways around.
So even when the app gets profile support, it's still fairly easy to swap profiles

You can't complete the addition of the offer onto an account without seeing the pop up as far as I can see.

So should l wait 5 days just in case a code does arrive in the email or should l phone them up again pronto.

Personally I'd phone up at some point today and check - it'll be obvious from your account whether it's been done or not as there will be the Netflix offer code on the account.

Had a good look at my bill and i do have a £5 loyalty discount for the next 18 months, so i'll wait until the first week of December before taking the free month, although i seem to spend most of christmas holidays in the pub

Nothing for me yet fella!
Hoping (but not expecting) it will come at some point today so I can go straight into my Netflix viewing tomorrow when (all being well) I receive the update tonight.

Re: TiVo Update/Netflix
You would think that this would be something they could implement on the 'My Virgin Media' pages...a code specific to your account if you're eligible. If you want to take advantage of it, then do so and once the code is redeemed this is taken as consent to renew your contract for a further 12 months. Those with no code would need to call C.S.
Makes sense to me, but I don't suppose that counts for owt.

Just activate yourself a free month trial, and when the code comes enter it into your netflix account and BOOM free 7 months :-)

Yeah a lot easier than trawling through the apps.

Going by VM usual standards, we should have it by the end of 2014.

I'd expect the Netflix app, like the BBC's CRB service, is mostly down to Netflix.

Actually the update we're currently getting is in part the same one rolling out to the Premiere boxes in the US at the moment. You can tell this by the fact that some of the most current updates (back to back recordings, DIAL support in YouTube / Netflix) we've got as well.
What did happen is that we caught up with the previous update that the Premiere boxes got (HD screens etc)
