If your watching on Sky HD then by default you get the HD version on the channel. The SD and HD channels are swapped.

Thats true i watch when i am in the IPL ITV4 are showing this at the moment in HD but i would think for vm to shell out what we do not know on getting the channels in HD there would have to be a lot more to justify the expense, perhaps ITV want to sell the channels as a bouquet ie ITV 2,3,4 and together they are just not worth the cash.

Universal Hd would be nice,Must admit would like Sky Atlantic Hd(but looks like wishfull thinking) CBS channels would be handy as they are going HD later this year so maybe a deal be done for HD at same time Nat Geo Wild HD would also be good,Agree about ITV but ITV2 would be nice.Channel for the kids would be good like disneyXD even my daughter who is 11 notices a difference between sd/hd

Personally i would forget sky atlantic either SD or HD until it goes in their sub packs at least around august i think, until then sky although they state they offered it to vm it would not be anything like worth the cash wanted. As for the others universal HD should be open for vm to negotiate,as would the CBS channels when they go HD later this year,i would have thought crime and investigation HD and History HD could also be had ,in fact there was a rumour ages ago that vm were negotiating for History HD.

As for the disney channels i do not know.

Just my personal opinion but no channels are best that we are not getting i am happy (once sky sports red button arrives) with the offerings i already get on TV XL.

Others though may not be.

I'm sure you wouldn't even need to bother with changing the PIN. Just lock SS1 SD and SS2 SD and I'm sure he'll get cheesed off with having to enter the PIN every time he wants to watch them that he'll quickly learn where the HD versions are.

Re: Coming Soon to Virgin TV (2011) Vol. II.

In the tv magazine Tv and satellite week the listing on the 26th April says that Sky Arts 1 and 2 will be in HD on virgin channel numbers 282 and 284. Good news as far as I`m concerned. Would love to see ITV 2,3 and 4 in HD though but I agree with virgin in not paying over the odds for them.

Tomorrow launch date given to me is just an date I was told.

The Sky Sports Red Button may not launch - look what happen in some areas when Virgin was update their network for NGTV last year (some area was postphone when Virgin found something up with that area).
