Everytime I put on the live stream it was on the bed channel.
Bad news... Media Boy is NOT going into the CBB House.

The live stream was only shut down once and that was for the fight on bb5. On bb9. The night this happened the feed wasn't shut down http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CK6AgOnU_9Y

Yep. you'd never know he was reading from an autocue when he was reading from an autocue.
Has anyone punched Jedwards heads in yet?

Well I know who Jedward are and that's it. Good to know Channel 5 are cheaping out on this so the rest of the schedule doesn't suffer.

I'm sure he'll settle in to the job soon enough... Davina's shoes are very big to fill
I'm not a fan of Jedward, but i thought the Panda shoes were funny

Re: Big Brother returns on Channel 5
I watched to see who was going in and after that I wont be watching it. I honestly cant understand why they brought it back. They should be looking for viewing figures and not alienating the hard core fans. It was a massive mistake they made and I think it will fail really bad

I'm gonna watch the next few show and see how it goes... Kerry K looks like she might actually be funny. The clip they showed of B.B.B.O.T.S showed some promising stuff...
No live feed is a big problem though...

Re: Big Brother returns on Channel 5
I cant get interested in it. After they all went into the house last night then we should have been able to see like on Channel 4 how the housemates were getting on, who was running for the beds getting to know who they were and what they were about and watching how excited they were or weren't. It was the most stupid decision that channel 5 made putting a lot of money bringing bb back and then no live feed. They really do need there heads examined.
I'm struggling to even understand why they brought it back if they weren't going to give the fans what they want and already know there was a backlash when there was no live feed the year before last and then last year when channel 4 allowed people the option to buy live feed the numbers jumped again.
Oh well the excitment is gone I had when I heard they were bringing it back.

Re: Big Brother returns on Channel 5
Sasha, the number of fans of Big Brother had been dropping for years. The live feed is not going to bring them all flooding back in the numbers required for Channel 5 to make money back on its investment in the show.
They have decided the best way to pick up larger numbers of more casual viewers is to invest their limited budget in social media rather than the live feed. It may not be what the hard core wants, but the hard core never pays the bills because its too small - that's why Channel 4 canned the show last year.
At the end of the day, this is not the BBC. Channel 5 is a commercial operation without the obligation to cater for minority groups. It has to make the sort of TV that attracts enough viewers to satisfy advertisers and that really is all there is to it.

Re: Big Brother returns on Channel 5
They did do their homework though. That is why they didn't bring back the live stream this year. The fans that want the live stream are in the minority and it wouldn't have been worth their while investing in the equipment and tech needed for the live web stream.
I am perfectly happy with the highlights show and the bit on the side as well.

Re: Big Brother returns on Channel 5
I'm happy that you are happy really with the bit of the highlights they show but we can agree to disagree that they didn't do the homework and not cater for the people who like the live feed and as I said a lot of people would even pay for it quite happily. The ratings are going to go down and down just with the lack of live feed no matter what.
It's not big brother without the live feed no matter what and they should Have renamed it to something else.

Re: Big Brother returns on Channel 5
That's daft Sasha. It is what it is - a sealed TV studio in which volunteers are made to perform stupid tasks for your entertainment. The format hasn't changed and the contestants won't behave any differently as they don't know when they're being observed and when they aren't.
You may disagree with the way in which Channel 5 has chosen to broadcast goings on in the house, but it is still the Big Brother house.
Although I don't know why I'm bothering to argue, I'm not planning to watch it either ...
