Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
well Wenger reckons someone will be killed soon
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/foot...em/6057730.stm
what does he want maybe they should wear protection like they do in ice Hockey ?
seeing as this hasn't happned to a keeper in about 100 years of playing i think they should be ok

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
The only time I can think of was a Celtic keeper dying during an Old Firm clash in the 1930's after a collision with a Rangers player.

There will be no opposing player allowed inside the penalty area soon, mark my words! Mark my words!

Unfortunately...
The thing is, goalies have been getting protection from the ref for a while now. I've gotten used to the ref giving a freekick as soon as an opposing player gets within a inch of the goalie...

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
u are right Mal and the keepers are using it to their advantage.. half the time at Palace Kiraly stands behind all the players and then just runs into the back of his own men knowing the ref will stop play as it looks like a foul

Man United 1, Copanhagen 0 so far - they reckon Rooney might get pulled off at half time.
Lucky old Wazza! Most players only manage a bottle of Lucozade.

Re: Football Talk 2006/2007 Season
good win but we still could have done so much better.. still not sure on Saha.. ok he puts the ball in the net a few times but how many goals does he actually create out of nothing like Henry can ?
been reading them comments from mad Jens about how a keeper will be crippled soon
he's really one to talk seeing as he's stamped on people a few times.. and that's just what i've seen since he's been in the prem if he's done it here i'm sure he's done it through his career

Who has got the right version of events?

According to the version of events Cech arrived in the dressing room at 17:24 and the ambulance arrived at 17:52. So it could have been that Maureen assumed or was told that the ambulance was called straight away rather than later.
