Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
SEE, I was not the only one..Deleted the darn email as I always do. Don't need read emails cluttering my pc up.. BUT Virgin should not say DOUBLE speed. Misleading in it..
Anyway---I'm quite happy at moment as I'm getting anything from 70mps to 75mps and 5.8 up...Had to reset everything by switching all apparatus off then putting all cat 6 cables into my Switch then resetting everything....

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
Sorry to ask this if it has already been covered but ...
I am on 152MB and I currently have a SH1 and I can get over 160MB wired but my Wifi varies between 70/90 and 110MB - on a the rare good day.
I am due to be upgraded April/September 2016 and am not to fussed by the wait even though new customers in my immediate area appear to be able to get 200MB now.
My question is will I need a SH2 and if I do will VM offer it to me automatically or will I need to push for one?
Please don't advise me to get a router I really don't want one.

Yes, you'll need one and it'll be part of the order process whether you do it online or via Customer Services.

Our contract was up so I called Retentions on Monday, negotiated a new deal and was offered the upgrade to 200Mb (in our area it's due between September and December 2016). The guy said I would need a new SH for that and it came today. I was going to ask for the SH and the upgrade as part of the new deal but I didn't have to.
I haven't swapped the SHs yet. I am wondering if the settings file from SH1 is compatible with SH2, I hope it is but it wouldn't surprise me if it wasn't.

Yep! I didn't get the 200mb config until I registered my superhub2AC!
(I get over 200mb via wifi using a netgear AC6100 mini adapter so I'm well chuffed!)

Did you get the upload increase as well? Ours has stayed more or less the same.

There isn't an upload change going from 152Mb to 200Mb. They are both 12Mb upload

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
They deserve it. Just called VM again, on a different matter, but asked at the end of the call, "when do existing customers get the 70Mb upgrade"? "Oh you should have it" she replied, different CS, different answer.

Re: Virgin Media 70, 150 & 200 Mb Upgrades
I am currently on the 152MB tier and I get 160MB download speeds when I test it, so it's actually 152 'and a bit'.
Will the new 200MB tier be 200MB 'and a bit' also?
Sorry, I did look through this huge thread but couldn't see that asked before
