Probably because they are not doing mobile properly. There should be one URL and it then adapts when you are on a mobile device.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

Just got TiVo installed today. One small thing I've noticed when compared to the TiVo at my Dad's house, is mine lacks the channel logos on the guide.

I know!

But I'm a bit of a geek for these kind of things. How do I get them?

Reboot the box , my parents had the same issue.

1.Select Help & Settings on the Home screen.
2.Choose Clear or Reset Set Top Box
3.Select Restart

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

Just seen this on help & support Forum :-

For those moaning about the TiVo's BBC red button services, I think the following article might be of interest.

http://www.theregister.co.uk/2012/05/17/bbc_iptv/

Basically, after the Olympics the BBC will be massively scaling back their old red button service (sounds like it will just be a single stream of red button content) and concentrating on red button services delivered over the internet. i.e. TiVo's red button services.

So it might be annoying at the moment, but give it a few months and the TiVo red button will be far superior to that available on other services."

Coming soon I do hope so. Roll on reminders. Then I might start to join the TiVo fan club

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

It's the start of the Torch relay today and the TiVo Red button on BBC is not carrying the live stream. It just brings up BBC Iplayer, and two apps BBC news and BBC Sport. This is a bit of a bugbear for me at the moment. It's the only thing I'm missing from the V+ box. I hope the promise of 24 live olympic streams still holds true when he games actually begin.

You can be rest assured that the 24 live olympic streams will arrive right on time for the games but l certainly can understand your views on the torch relay.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

Hello all,

Moved back home so back with virgin media again! Quick question. My old v+ box in my bedroom is knackered. Keeps rebooting constantly and has recording failures. Got an engineer coming out Tuesday.

Questions are:

1) will they replace it with a new v+ or a TiVo box?
2) if they don't give TiVo boxes as replacements for v+ boxes how do I get one? I'm paying 5 quid a month for v+ box and in the xl package
3) do we have the red button on sky sports (random nt TiVo related but just put the sky sports on again today and haven't checked) the last time I had cable was just just when sky sports hd arrived

Hello all glad to be back on here and look forward to the daily ritual of checking media boys blogs haha.

Re: General TiVo Discussion Part 3

1) If V+ is faulty - they will replace with V+.
2) You could upgrade or switch to a "collection" https://my.virginmedia.com/customer-...llections.html (don't understand the 5.00 but not important).
3) At moment only for F1 (on Sky) - but extras supposedly "coming soon"

Until updates are made, in effect you would lose Red Button and Reminders but gain Suggestions and extra disk space.

No3 is incorrect as we have the red button for football first, Champions league match choice, Tennis, some golf events and several other sports on the RB plus we have The Heineken cup coming at the start of the next season plus several other things in the pipeline.

I think I read somewhere that you can ask the engineer to replace the V+ with a tivo if he's coming out for a service call and he'll do it free of charge. You will have to pay the monthly Tivo fee. Maybe a VM employee can confirm?

I also don't understand the ÂŁ5 charge you're paying. There is a ÂŁ5 for V+ if you're on M or L, but that doesn't make sense as you are on XL.
