I don't know why Beckham was on the pitch but it certainly wasn't on merit- he should have played Cole or Richardson down the left and Wright-Phillips down the right, 4 man midfield with SG and FL in the middle, and Rooney up front with Owen because he is a RIGHT FOOTED STRIKER AND NOT A LEFT FOOTED MIDFIELDER

Most of Beckham`s passes were good but a Team is only as good as the players in it!. Wright-Phillips played a great game i thought.
Isn`t it about time we stopped paying these over-rated nonentities a fortune every week and made them play their best and pay them on a performance?
Make them work for their wages the same as we all have to.
