What's not to be happy about?
You haven't got a free upgrade on the day that you weren't promised it would happen on anyway?

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
Given the debacle of the last upgrade, I'm impressed with this one (mind you I've been upgraded )
It was quick and easy and even arrived before I was expecting it, this MUST be a first for NTL
Congrats to all involved.

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
I have upgraded today from 750kbps to 2048kbps but I haven't noticed an improvement in my surfing experience. Should I be able to get compensation from NTL?
:p

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
Well the update was supposed to have been sent to me at around 2ish this afto and still nothing. So I ring up tech support and get through to the indian call centre.
The bloke doesnt have a clue whats he talking about. Apparantly its because I need to delete the cookies and history. That will get my up to my requested 2mb speed. And he was adament on that too.
Oh and by the way, he also wondered why I wanted to be upgraded to 2mb when on his records I'm using a 55mb connection. No joke.
I asked to be transferred and he wouldnt saying there was no1 else available to take my call.
Fair enough, I still havent been upgraded but theres still plenty of time. I would at least like the decency to talk to someone who knows what I am and they are on about. I have never got so irate talking to CS. It was a joke.

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 3)
Ok lads new question and glad most are on the new speed.
I was on 300K and I have a cable modem Iâ₠¬ÃƒÆ’¢â€žÂ¢m happy with 1Mb just now but will I have problems with this modem if I jump to 2mb?
Will that nice upgrade thing on NTl check my modem again?

Wow!! Look at all the people viewing this thread
Anybody know if they've done Cambridgeshire yet? Will I have to reboot the CM to get the new speed?

All SACMs can handle the current speeds of up to 3Mb and way above them.

sav112,
If you have a stand alone modem (not a STB) then you'll have no problems with any of the currently available speeds. If you have an STB you need to call and ask for a samsung.
