Perfect example. Other half found part 3 of something on the History channel that looked interesting, but not on demand without a subscription upgrade. As we did not have the History channel before the swap, Tivo is useless.
One of the issues Virgin have with UKTV is the on-demand service, then when they offer replacements to make up for the loss of UKTV they still do not include on-demand versions.

I think that HISTORY HD being available on the lower packs is very much a temporary thing, and in time it will be only for Full House customers.
HISTORY in SD and the +1 are not available on my Mix pack and neither is the Catch Up or Box Sets content. The clues are there!

Then they should not even think of this as being a fair replacement for the UKTV equivalent lost.
People using the Tivo box to compensate for not having on-demand, only works if you can access all of a series, which in this situation you cannot.

Re: Virgin Media & UKTV+ITV Channels
This may have been answered before but I can't find where, so apologies in advance.... I have the Full House package (and have had since I joined 2.5 years ago). I may be wrong but apart from a small number of the "new" channels, I think I already had these as part of the Full House bundle.. or at least it seems that way... for example, I thought I always had History HD/More 4 etc. If so, I wonder how many of the so called "new" channels are actually new to the Full House bundle? Also, several of the channels seem to be listed twice in two separate locations on the EPG, especially in the HD subset... like Paramount HD and History HD.. is this the same for everyone else?

Granted it was last year but things haven't changed that much.
Anyway bit of a result from retentions, £50 credit and an extra £10 discount, on top of the £8 loyalty discount I only negotiated last month. Give them a ring, it's an open goal. Still rather have the UKTV channels though.

Regarding OD - you need to talk to OB as obviously 83% are wrong as streaming is the future.

Re: Virgin Media & UKTV+ITV Channels
They loss of VM hasn't really affected UKTV. They had the most watched pay TV programme on Tuesday night !

Just goes to show there is a big market for these channels, whatever your own preferences are.
