I thought Tosic wouldn't be ready to play for another few weeks yet? At least thats what Fergie said when we signed him. I hope Fabio gets a game tomorrow.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Being a mad football fan of Spurs, l love London clubs, and West Ham is a super club, and although, we were after Bellamy, l was pleased that on various sites, Spurs fans were angry, of the thought of him going to Th Lane, but a gentlemans agreement, means he won't be going to Spurs.
What he has done, by just walking out of the Hammers, is a disgrace, but he has done this before. The sad thing in football is now greed, what l hear, Kaka will be on £500.00 per week, what a disgusting thought, but they are after THREE other players, to a value of 20million each, when is there going to be a stop to this, l would love to be in the dugout, when Kaka is pulled off, that will be a great laugh, to see the look of Hughes face.

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Apparently City are behaving rather oddly. Spurs were going after Wilson Palacious. We had a bid agreed and were haggling over payment terms. Friday night, City call and say they want to bid for WP too. Saturday comes and goes, so does Sunday. Then the come out and say they won't go after WP, if we won't go after Bellamy. Apparently, we've pulled out of Bellamy (ooh-err missus!) and trying to tie up WP. Looks like he now wants to stay at Wigan now.
I really don't think City are under any cohesive management. At worse allegedly, it looks like they are using their wealth to push other clubs from buying the players they want.

WP, will sign for Tottenham tomorrow, as l understand it, under the ' gentlemens agreement'.
And that Paly, will be fit for Wednesday's Cup tie, what me make me laugh is, IF Spurs do get to Wembley, and it is United, Fergie will play his top guns in the final, even though it is the reserves that got them this far, and by what Fergie, was qouted ' this crap cup'

Errm, do you have a crystal ball that allows you to see into the future then Arthur? He's actually said the youngsters will play the whole way through, even if we do make it to the final, and where did you get the quote from him 'this crap cup' i don't think he's ever said anything like that about the competition. But your right, there's only been one team throughout the competition thats been desperate to win it and played a full strength side when others haven't, because they know they have no chance in any other competition, i wonder who that is

Re: Football : Season 08/09
Hi Shadow Demon, here is a new one for you, its now stated that Archavin wants to join - Man City, how many Ist teams do they have, And going onto your item, Fergie, has only played the youngster's so far, until they started to play Derby, when Berb started to play alongisde Ronaldo, now if l'm not wrong they are first teamers, And also you will see a full strength side at Wembley.
And last year, Fergie and Wenger, described the Carling Cup ' a crap comp' and that is why they played reserves - ask me another. Up the Spurs. (we NEED the cup plus some more players, got any cheap).

Palacios will be cup tied, as he played for Wigan against Ipswich and Arsenal in the 3rd and 4th rounds.

Well Arthur, once again your wrong, Berbatov wasn't even on the bench when we played Derby, Ronaldo did come on as a sub though. The only player who is a definate first team player this season that started against Derby was Vidic. Your also wrong about Fergie and Wenger saying it's a crap competition. They may not rate it as highly as other competitions (who does apart from Spurs?) but they haven't said it is 'a crap comp' as you put it.

If you can post a link to SAF or Wenger calling it a 'crap cup' then you sir may have my place on the admin team.

Just saw on the Beeb's sport pages....

The prime minister of Italy, Silvio Berlusconi, who is also the owner of AC Milan, has told Italian television that Kaka is staying at the club. Repeat, Kaka will not be joining Manchester City.

A victory for football. Money can't buy you everything.
Ignoring that Kaka is already on around £140k a week as it is, this is at least part proof that some players do still play for the love of the game and their club, not their pay cheque.
