This is true, it would be nice to see a list of questions and answers, though according to Neil, not many people have done it the way Sam B requested - via Neil.

To her credit though, despite this, she has answered as many questions as possible throughout this thread aswell. Keep it up Sam , but any chance of some responses to the questions which have gone the correct way??

Cheers,

What about the Chelsea Flower Show Interactive that had been testing? Why has it not been rolled out for those who can use it? Can ex C&W use it? (bit off topic, sorry)

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.

Presumably it's not "gone live" on Langley because it was only a test. Maybe it didn't go well, or maybe they never intended it do be publically available anyway?

Yes, it works very well on Bromley, but you probably didn't want to hear that...

Ntl didn't start this thread. Somebody called Sam who works for NTL started this thread. She did so entirely voluntarily, in an attempt to improve the service her employer gives to its customers. It's for certain that communicating directly with customers through a website with a history like ours is not part of Sam's official job description. She is doing this because she wants to, and because she cares about her job. Lack of care for customers is something NTL is routinely accused of, so where there is evidence of staffers who obviously do care, I think we could all afford to give them our full support.

Sam has responded in this thread more than once, as have other staffers who are members of the forum. I have no doubt that she and others have taken notes and have passed on the feedback to those in a position to do something about it. Personally I don't feel the need to see an essay by Sam in response to every question raised here before I am satisfied this is the case.

How do Sky manage to do this and what is different to the way NTL do it.

No idea on when or whether NTL may get a 7 day EPG.
Not seen this answered but am at work and skimming throught the thread.

the reason for this is (at least for the BBC) update the Sky & DTT Epg directly. ntl and TW have a 3rd part do the listings for them based on published listings. The BBC can update when there are delays etc and changes to the listings.

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.

Could we please have the following back :

- First channel button
- Page up and down working on the miniEPG
- When you scroll down the programs by time on the miniEPG it skips 2 ahead instead of one, leaving your focus on a program e.g. at 11pm instead of 10pm unlike the old EPG which only skipped onto the next program instead of 2 programs later.

If you put these things back i will be happy! I understand the browse button thing, someone mentioned in a previous thread its like that because the new boxes and remotes are different.

Thanks

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.

I have seen screenshots of the LCR3 network status dialog box and talk of an event log. Does anyone know how to access this?

Cheers

A similar thing occurs in other places, such as the Guide (probably Favourites too, but I'm not sure). It seems as though pressing up/down performs the same action as page up/down when at the vertical boundary of a page. This may have been done deliberately to facilitate faster vertical navigation using the up/down buttons, but ultimately I think it's counter-intuitive. I don't think there's any need for this behaviour in the Guide since the same action can be performed using the page up/down buttons; up/down should always move to an adjacent channel. This also applies to the Mini Guide, which only displays 2 programmes per page so it's often the case (at least for me) that clicks saved by skipping 2 programmes ahead are used up by having to go back one when it skips too far ahead. I personally find it a more frustrating experience as it seems obvious (again, at least to me) that the EPG is not carrying out the instructions I gave it, rather it is taking a guess at what it thought I meant. Interestingly enough, the Front Row listings don't have this behaviour; up/down always move to an adjacent film, regardless of whether or not you're at the page boundary.
