Re: 50Mb areas

Or it could be that (as with other updates on here) you need to wait a couple of days before ordering.

Re: 50Mb areas

Cool about Cambridge - my question is that if I phone up and order it - will it work right away seeing I have a router etc that can handle 50mb or do I have to wait for the newer virgin modem.

Ah Typical - Cambridge is upgraded but St Ives (Cambridgeshire) on that network hasn't been? Was told by Virgin Media that ones Cambridge went live then St Ives would be too? Any ideas on this one!!

St Ives is on Papworth CMTSs, so doesn't have 50 meg yet.

Re: 50Mb areas

Blimey a neighbouring area being upgraded. I wonder if the issues I've been getting today could be good news.

Which seems to include my modem ranging for the past hour and a bit, hopefully connection will be back soon.

Re: 50Mb areas

Unsure about the geography thing. In this franchise Croydon was a launch area, New Malden was released 11/02 and Mortlake is still not enabled.

Re: 50Mb areas

Just checked the postcode for Neath (South Wales) and it still says sorry not in my area yet

Anyone have any idea when Neath/Swansea might be upgraded to support 50mb.

They upgraded Neath within a month when they first released 20mb.
