Whether this is an indication or a smokescreen who knows, but a MS person is saying there are no plans for a price drop for the 360.

to be honest, I'd have gone the same way with what you have, interlaced, but after seeing the two side by side, interlaced and progressive scan, the 1080p display wowed everyone who watched it, so, I'll get the 1080p when it's out
