I'm kinda reluctant to move away from my excellent ntl250 modem + linksys router combo to the superhub. Is it possible to move down a tier and keep my current setup or would they force me on docsis 3 gear ?

Re: Upgrade delayed massively
I am just surprised that people here really expected Virgin to meet the target they gave themselves. Track & record come to mind.

Re: Upgrade delayed massively
I got annoyed by this e.g. I was on 50Mb waiting for 100/120 and told to wait an extra 10 months while in other regions people are on 60Mb but paying less than me. So I phoned retentions and got moved to 60Mb, call evenings included in package and approx £5 reduction to bill... also I did not get a new contract as I was very specific with the customer service rep that I didn't want this and they were willing to do the change-over without requiring a new contract.
They however refused to do the free 100Mb upgrade in my area (M22 - Manchester) that's why I had to move to 60Mb instead.

Or ever better, ask nicely first- then if that doesn't work, demand....
(think how you would like to be treated if you were on the other end of the phone.... ).

Let's hope the lot round your way bother to stop playing cards and supping tea, get out of their little tents, and actually bother to show up on the agreed date when you order yours - see link in my sig if you haven't already seen my tale of woe about the useless lot around my neck of the woods. With a three week lead time, a no show followed by another 3 week wait I decided I wouldn't risk it with my known iffy phone line.

Re: Upgrade delayed massively
I started a new contract when upgrading to Tivo last December, but only my TV deal changed, not my phone line and BB M10Mb package. So does that mean I can leave the BB [or threaten to to get my promised speed increase]?

Re: Upgrade delayed massively
Just phoned 150 and am now getting a free shub and intallation and upgrade to 30mb with a reduction of £4-00 / month of my bill and a one off £17-40 refund on next months bill. Had to agree to a 12 month extension, but I ve been with them for 16 years and been mostly happy with my service.

Re: Upgrade delayed massively
Mine says March 2013 and August 2013
Even though the lady on the phone said 2 months ago, the upgrade would be within the next 3 month..

Here is already FTTC enabled but they have also been doing same here recently.
Dunno what they are doing though as I was told they don't do FTTC and fttp in same area at the moment
