We are going to claim via our credit card, Im in the process of making a complaint, against the Doctor with the GMC (see web site for contact details), and a complaint with the Westminster PCT that the Bayswater Medical centre is a part of, against Amanda Walsh. I have emailed Watchdog and intend to get in touch with Trading Standards. We must at least get the web site shutdown.
By the way Im informed that Dr Da Silva has left the medical centre but Amanda is still there.
hi mel,
could you please simplify your post so that we could do the same. who are the gmc, westminster pct and what/where the medical centre,
cheers mick

Re: roomsnet.com warning

GMC - General Medical Council
PCT - Primary Care Trust

Complaining to these organisations is a huge waste of time IMO. Go after Roomsnet directly, via your local council's Trading Standards department (they may refer you to whichever Trading Standards department is local to Roomsnet itself, but always start with your own local one). Get your money back via your credit card, if you used it, and if you want to do anything else you could contact the BBC.

Re: roomsnet.com warning

mick,
The GMC are the General Medical Council, google this and you will get several phone numbers.
Westminster Primary Care Trust which Bayswater Medical Centre comes under
Tel 080058708818 and 08445769250

Also it appears Amanda Walsh is now working a similar type company in Ireland!!

Not true both the Westminster PCT and the Health Centre were very helpful and very interested. The GMC are sending me a complaints form today.
It certainly makes you feel better if you can upset these people at there places of work, or anywhere else.
The BBC only help if there is enough complaints.
The trading Standards have also helped, all I can say is let as many people know as possible as this is obviously a scam.

Re: roomsnet.com warning

Even though Ms Walsh is working for a medical centre she's very capable and allowed to work for another company.. The other company will not come under the realms of the PCT/GMC so I really don't see the point in getting them involved..

I believe this is the Irish version of the consumer credit act.

Yes I have no argument with the cable forum team, you do a great job!
But anyone associated with this what appears fraudulent company does not need defending, I can assure you it is not very nice wandering round a foreign city, early on a Sunday morning trying to find hotel accomadation as the original one you have booked and PAID for, has been cancelled without anyone informing you!

I'm sure they were interested, but it's not going to help you get a refund, is it? Neither the GMC nor Westminster PCT have the power to do that.

It all depends what you want to achieve really, doesn't it. If you just want to get a refund for services not delivered, then if at all possible take it up with your credit card issuer; failing that go direct to Roomsnet. If you have any hassle with either of those, get advice from your local council's Trading Standards department.

On the other hand, if you want revenge on the good doctor and his receptionist, by all means pursue their employer, their regulator and the BBC. Whatever gives you closure, as the Yanks might say.

Bearing in mind that the two concerned may be victims of roomsnet.com themselves.WE don't know enough details of why or how they left the company.

Re: roomsnet.com warning

Perhaps we should rename this thread to "Get revenge on Ms Walsh" as simply that's all anyone contacting the PCT/GMC is attempting to do..

The best way is to take action directly against roomsnet.com via either your local tradings standards office, a 3rd party like Watchdog or even the courts..

Ding, ding!!

These chaps may be worth contacting to advise them of the "issues" with their UK franchisees.

This rather stylish pharmacists - now there's a coincidence - (at no 45 Craven Road, London W2 3BX - as per Xaccers post above) is the secret entrance to their UK registered office address.

If calling round I suggest that you pick up some bandages and plasters before making your way upstairs past Kennedy Brothers Ltd, N.G properties and the dozens of other companies who use it as a registered office "drop address".

I asked Miss Walsh if she left because of the problems with roomsnet ( i can be a little direct and nosey when i want to be) and her reply was "No, I left because of work commitments at the clinic and its nothing to do with roomsnet"
Make of it what you will.
