I looked on this site for my troubles for broadband. For the last month or so I kept getting a sudden disconnect. It wouldn't work at all. Reboot stb and pc. Nothing. Then suddenly after two days switched on and it worked. It went again
about two weeks later. Same thing. Then last night same thing. I checked everthing all alright. Winipcfg. ip addresses right. Nothing. Then Ntl said it might be winsock problem. I'm on Windows Me. Tried the winsocfix I downloaded from this site. Low and behold it's working now. So thanks for the info. Apparently Me can suffer from this problem.
