Blimey. Apart from labour, I didn't think it got anymore painful than breastfeeding.

Depends on the person, there are some that have had no problem expressing at all. Some that can't breastfeed, but can express.
As for the pain aspect ..... kids are a pain .... from the day they are born ...
That's not to say that they aren't a joy too,

And a friend of mine did that.
She now has stretch marks and sagging and wishes she'd just breast fed in the normal way.

Re: Breastfeeding bill ~ can you help?
I say that women should be able to breast feed wherever they want, After all, babies don't always want to be fed in convenient places, The fact remains that for those who do not wish to watch, the ultimate form of censorship is to merely turn away. It's like those morons who write to points of view saying "I saw a program last night, which was disgusting, it had nudity in it 6 times and over the full 2 1/2 hours it was on I saw 42 nipple shots" - you have more than one channel to choose from, if what is in front of you offends you, look elsewhere.

Re: Breastfeeding bill ~ can you help?
well i just came back off my jollys and have seen i have stirred up some good reactions.....
To the last few messages there is evidence against breastfeeding mothers expressing for fear of "nipple confusion". This is when the baby then "prefers" bottles because it's so much easier to suck a bottle than to suckle on the breast.
Thank you to all who have signed the petition.
Just wanted to add a little on the end for you all.
I have three children of my own. All Formula fed, one who has severe milk allergies. I am in no way opposing formula fed babies or the mothers who choose to fed their babies in this way, what i would like to see (in a perfect world) is where mums can feed their babies in any way they choose wherever they are!
Cheers,
Claire X
