Re: Chelsea vs Manchester united Champions league Final
Thanks, It was a great game and a good for English football.
I heard that Fergie went to the Chelsea dressing room looking for Terry. Dunno if it's true but if he did good on him
I also have a feeling that Drogba might see the door after last night you just cant slap another player its not on
I hope Roman does not sack Grant after this as he deserves another crack. I'm sure most of you will agree with me on that.

Re: Chelsea vs Manchester united Champions league Final
I agree Dogbreath will probably go and unfortunately I think Grant will too. To most chairmen coming second in the league and runners up in the champion's league would be a hell of an acheivement, but then again Roman isn't "most" chairmen. He demands trophies and Grant didn't deliver.

Hopefully to give him a good slap, grrrrrr.
As for Grant one thing I have to say is that he hasn't really done anything different to Jose. There has been nothing new in the set up or the attitude since he took over, apart from conceding late late goals in key moments. I'd like to see him move upstairs and someone like Rjikard to come along and impose a bit more authority. I loved Jose so maybe Im a bit bias.

You guys will be hard-pressed to find someone as good as Jose.

I know but what has Grant really done? For example I'd have rather see him try Shevva more and lose games, at least he would have been doing something different. I know its hard to explain on here, but basically he bought nothing new to the team. People berated Jose for playing Essien at right back, and Grant is a tactical genius for playing him there to negate Ronaldo's threat - you know what I mean?
Dont get me wrong, he seems a genuine nice guy, and I wish him well, but I'd rather he went back 'upstairs'

Have to say as a Man Utd fan at no time did I feel sorry for him, don't know how any reasonable Utd fan could, I found myself chuckling when he fell on his arse and started crying.

You have to show respect. Imagine Ronnie had done a JT and lost it for us.

Would any Chelsea fan show respect if Ronaldo had done it? I think the answer would be 100% no. Anyway, as i said, as soon as i saw the footage of him spitting at Tevez i lost all respect i ever had for him.

What, you mean if Ronaldo slipped on a substandard pitch instead of bottling it?
Had that have happened Ferguson still wouldn't have shut up about it.
Anyway had JT adopted the attitude of other players, i.e. nonchalent and didn't give a monkey's, people would accuse him of not caring or being dedicated.
I expect United to make the most of the win, but they really aren't as high in their towers as they think.

The result speaks for itself. One team had to be champions.

Was it substandard? No one else slipped when taking their penalty, it was poor technique that made him slip, he was leaning backwards. Both managers before the game said the pitch wasn't an issue. Chelsea wouldn't have even scored in regular time if it wasn't for Van der Saar slipping anyway

I have to agree with you. 9 players took penalties without falling over. Terry played the entire game plus extra time without not appearing to slip, and you cant blame the pitch for it. For all we know that penalty could have gone even wider had he not slipped.
