Er, if you have XXL then you are on VIP 50

But here's the better bit it says they are increasing my discount by £5.99 Really its only a £2.99 after the two things above have been applied
|
This also confirms you are on VIP 50, as all VIP 50 customers will be paying the same standard price of £97.50 for the bundle (excluding any extras and/or negotiation short term discounts)
VIP 20 is still under review so isn't having the discount changed

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Can someone clarify something for me please?
I was on the VIP20 up to last week when I upgraded to VIP50, now, as far as I'm aware, the only thing VM need to do is send a hit to my V+ box to add the Premium HD channels & have an Engineer swap out the old NTL250 modem for a shiny, new, 50Mb capable one (he's booked for the 31st).
Now here's the question: should I have received the Premium HD channels within 24 hours of phoning to upgrade (as the E-mail from VM stated) or will I get them only after the 50Mb BB is up and running?
Three calls to CS and a couple of request for help on Twitter (yes, I even sullied my soul and made an account on a "Social Networking" site *spits) have amounted to nothing but false promises & ignorance.
Any help/advice would be appreciated.

You'll get them when the engineer installs 50Mbit

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Right, thanks for that. I just wish they would have said that from the beginning and not led me to believe I'd get it within 24 hours, then there's the misleading email that turned up within half an hour of the upgrade request saying:

Thanks for asking us to add premium TV channels to your Virgin Media account. The great news is, Virgin Media Entertainment have approved your order. If you are an existing TV customer your new channels will be ready to watch within the next 24hrs.
|
Oh well, now I know not to bother wasting my time with CS any further.

well it doesn't add up If i am.
after another 5 months my bill will be £113 a month
113 - 97.50 = 15.50 surely an extra V+ isn't that much?
Unless on the 1st of October my bill will become the same as a VIP50 and the extra box is charged at £9.50 total cost £107. I believe that's what it should be.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
If you are talking 2 x V+HD boxes and a normal box then £113 is correct. This is £5.50 additional box fee and £10 V+HD service fee (both of which are included within the core price for the other two boxes)
If it's 3 V+Hd boxes it would be £123

I got the same message and was all excited but it turns out your account will sit on hold until the new modem is installed as it says above. That said, as soon as my new modem was activated, I had the HD channels

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
Cool, it's another reason to look forward to the install date, then.
Another question, did you receive your router & dongle in the post or did the Engie bring it? My router turned up the other day but no sign of the dongle, yet CS said the Engineer would bring them along with the modem.

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
The engineer gave me the router and dongle when he came to install the modem. Both are now in a cupboard as spares if something goes kaput as I'm more than happy with my Belkin N+ router and my laptops built in wireless

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
I'll double check but as far as I'm aware the Sky Premium increase is being absorbed this year for VIP 50
---------- Post added at 12:00 ---------- Previous post was at 11:57 ----------
EDIT: Actually I got it wrong. It will be £98.50. VIP 50 is being reduced to £96.50 from October for everyone

Re: VIP/VIP+ New and Improved VIP Package
'Sky Premium increase', are they putting it up to £9 now? VM must have hired a chimp to do the negotiating.
