Re: Football Season 2011/12
I think it's also underestimated the damage the Suarez incident did, the owners stepped in after it got coverage in American sports news. A lot of people in the States (and frankly here, outside of Liverpool) couldn't believe the way it was handled. The t-shirts, the attacks on Evra (which remains the most pathetic aspect of the whole thing) and all the atmosphere around it.
I think that damaged his credibility in the eyes of the owners, they shouldn't be getting flack from the UK because their choice of manager can't handle it.

The owners do care, it's their investment. They view Liverpool as a business and are not quite as emotionally invested as Liverpool's fans would, understandably, like them to be.
They admit they are coming to grips with the sport and they do so from a distance but this gives them a fresh perspective on the club which is probably quite healthy. They view the money spent and the position achieved and have rightly concluded that it's not acceptable. They look at clubs that spent a lot less doing a lot better and it's not clear where the improvement is going to come from. That alongside having to deal with race issues in the US because of a lack of management from the UK has caused them to fire the manager. It's no coincidence that the director of communications and the director of football have also gone.

They will be ruthless in their pursuit of being at the top of English football again and let there be no doubt about that.

Do they though? What about the LFC emblem on next seasons shirt? Would owners that care really do that?
Or maybe they just don't understand Liverpool.

Yes l agree as it will be interesting to see whether they go for a young dynamic manager like Martinez or Rodgers or do they go for a big Mourinho type profile as their next manger.

The same, simple emblem we were using 50 years ago until the turn of the premiership era? Don't see a problem with that.

What is your beef with Liverpool as you seem to be having a pop at them at every turn for no apparent reason.
