Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
Nice to see the BBCi Bridge, just a shame that on our box, when you have used it the mini-guide remains frozen in time. The clock updates but it continues to display the schedule from the time you pressed the red button.
Only way to fix it seems to be a reboot

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
That is VERY TRUE Rince, from the time you press the red button, the mini guide stays on the listings from that precise moment, i didnt want to mention it , as i thought it was just, my UN500 Error, which an engineer is coming out to fix on monday....got a reply from ntl:email. telling me, that they will probably not have multiangle screens for BB5, but its possible they will, and she will keep me posted.

The UN500 error warrants an engineer?
Cos im getting that all the time, everytime I press red on a BBC channel (not normal ntl interactive) i get that error and the only way to get rid of it is to reboot the box but after a while it will come up again etc...

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
Im always getting that UN500 Error message thing too. We have three boxes, and have tried pressing the red button on two of them - Both coming up with the said error. My signal level on the box in my room is (hope you're sitting down) 16777199. Signal downstairs that was tried for red button is 253. The third STB that has not been tried has a signal level of 16777204. These "AGC Signal Levels" appear to fluctuate every few days or so - quite strange.
Just a bit of explanation - the third box is connected directly to the little junction box that sits outside your house. This is also the case with the downstairs box (box 2). Box 1, the STB in my room is taken from a splice in the cable from downstairs - thats how NTL installed it!! Apparently it was easier and it does, I must admit save alot of black cables running round the side of the house.
Any explanations for the strangely high signal level?
To "ntlrocks" - let us know what the problem was when you find out please.

Says my signal level is 16777197 but I don't think that can be right.

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
I honestly think that there must be a slight glitch in the software if some people are getting signal levels from 50 or 60 into the 200s and right up into the tens of millions - like mine: 16777199, 16777204 and then Nor's being reported in the same way as mine as being 16777197.
Could Proppin' or someone else with the knowledge be able to give any clues as to what this means.
Maybe it means that our boxes are taking over the world by sapping up everyone's Signal Levels.
Sorry - Uni Finals on - head well and truly pickled. (Roll on Monday when it'll be all over forever!! - I Hope).

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
There looks to be an error with the value reported sometimes, nothing to worry about.
I don't think techs should be attending UN500 errors tho, I think the error means the STB has not managed to find interactive data when red button has been pressed, unsurprisingly as there isn't any to look at yet except for channel 120.

As long as the TV is still working fine, I dont have a problem. Im assuming that the BBCi Bridgethat we are hearing so many reports about, is part of a test.

yeah its where you hit the Red button for E-tv app (the bridge, and channel ntl: ) you get the UN500 error, however normal interactive works

This is my theory on it (originally posted to DS back in March, responding to a signal level of 16777193):
Are you sure this isn't a software bug? If the agc signal level was stored as a 24-bit integer, then the number shown above is only 23 short of the absolute maximum. (24-bit ints can represent 16777216 distinct numbers). Is it not possible that the system worked out the signal level to be -24, causing the int to roll over below 0, as shown above?
Of course, that could just be a big coincidence!

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
About 50% of the time when I press 'back' to exit the BBCi bridge, the STB stops responding for about 10 seconds, then displays the guide menu. Not serious, but a possible bug (STB type 4001-2A).

Re: [Merged] CR3-Feedback & Questions in Here Please.
There are a few issuses
1.There is no bridge on BBC Scotland and the other regionals(i think). Could someone tell me why this is.
2.When you press res on 926,the only channel it works on because im in Scotland, it takes over 30 seconds to load(which is very slow compared to freeview and sky and is also a watered down version of those.)
3.When you go the the flower show option the first time it works, but then if you exit bbci and go back into it you get the UN500 error.
4.When you go to BBCi or the flower show the mini guide and program guide are stuck on the programs that they were on when you went to BBCi or the flower show. But the everything else works.
