what has likely happened is that you have changed your email password since your service was first installed. That new password works with your email address, but is not the one the update script is looking for - it has to be the original password you had when first connected.
a similar thing happens with the webspace - changing the email password doesn't update the webspace login password, which still wants the 'old' one to allow login.
- as far as I know only Technical Support can fix this, not Customer Services, but I'm happy to be proved wrong
