Bull, this is personal and directed to DF, you SAID the pre regs would get a good deal.
THIS IS NOT A GOOD DEAL!
You lied!
FACT!
Scandalous pricing from VM and they should hang their heads in shame, how they have treated their LOYAL and commited tech savy customers!
P**S POOR, we should have expected it, as it's usually the norm with VM and yet we all gave VM a chance this time, and waited for 4 MONTHS, then we get bumped with almost £200 for a box thats not even ours, and an increase in monthly sub! ABYSMAL!!!!
£100 FREE install, now that would have been a "SPECIAL OFFER", not the garbage they have just offered!
V+ will be adequate till they sort that dick turpin pricing out!
|
Think your being a bit harsh on df he doesnt control the prices,He only works there If you read is last post he agrees should have been free installation
Dont listen to em DF and enjoy the rest of your holiday,Dont do a big red on us

Just maybe it could be because they were used as beta testers, only a thought though.

What makes you special as a customer? Because you havent gone to Sky? I have been a cable customer for years and would never expect a freebie for a new product launch. How about you go over to Sky and wait for their next box to launch and see if you get a freebie.
And directing your anger at someone on a forum is pretty tragic, why don't you put your energy into writing to Virgin media directly with your concerns. As a forum regular you will be aware how good our CEO office is, im sure they could answer any question you have.

And I am not surprised you are offended. Outrageous post. The guy is just giving us what he has got. He doesn't make the deals.

Why get so upset? It is only a cable TV box. If things that bad complain to Virgin Media or go to another provider.
I don't agree with install fee, but life is too short.

At £190 I can't afford it anyway, so never mind

The thing is, the people that are called Dean will feel special

Re: TiVo
I disagree muppetman (sorry i dont know your real name).
I am afraid this isnt going to make Sky blink because its a) too expensive for new customers and b) too expensive for new customers which if anything will play into Sky's hands
http://www.sky.com/shop/boxes/
Now i know the old argument but there are all these kewl new features on Tivo that aren't on the V+ but everyone i know is reigning in their spending and aren't going to spend almost £200 on a box.
I think they got this very very wrong and if the early adopters wont pay it then the general punters wont either Luxury TV or not.

Re: TiVo
189 for a box with more bugs than the Amazon and you never own does seem excessive , although Dean maybe happy to pay it.
