Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
Was going to wait, but thought being as mostly everyone is getting upgraded now I'd try again sooo...
Just made my fifth phone call to CS, polite as always, a different person, and he *also* refused to upgrade me, I'm getting a bit annoyed now.

Ianuk, if they've been instructed not to do it over the phone, then you'll just have to accept that. Getting annoyed isn't going to get you very far. Just wait for ther automatic upgrade.

you will need to restart the set top box also i believe

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
For all we know NTL may have a list of areas where work is still required to bring them up to scratch for the speed upgrades. The NTL CSRs may have been instructed not to upgrade anyone in those areas. Other people calling in may be in areas that have had all the work done and it is OK for customers calling from them to be upgraded.
We don't know what NTL staff have been told to do regarding speed upgrades, if anything. As a result it is unfair to judge those who will not do your upgrade.

Re: New Speed Upgrades 8th March. (Part 4)
I've been done now
Yes I had to reboot the modem and reprovision, all works.
Poplar Proxies limits my speed to 150k as usual but Colchester gives me the full 350k on most sites
Thanks to the NTL guy, and you guys for listening to me witter on

No worries just looking after the bandwidth. You could pay a donation to the Rednoseday to post speed tests.
